Kindergarten Transition

Kindergarten Transition Teddy Bear's Picnic Dear Parents/Caregivers, For our first Kindergarten transition session on Tuesday 8th November 2016, Como Public School will be hosting a Teddy Bear's Picnic. All new Kindergarten students are welcome to bring along a small teddy bear or soft toy to participate in our teddy bear activities. 2017 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2016, all NSW public schools will receive a 2017 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. Education Week Open Day

Gardening Club

Despite the weather, Garden Club was a hive of frantic activity last week. It was time to put to use all the fantastic goodies provided to us by Bunnings Kirrawee. Again, a huge thank you to Bunnings for their continued support! Our bananas went down a treat last week. World Water Day/ Harmony Day Fundraiser

Dear Parents and Carers, As you may know, Como Public School is raising funds to build a $1700 water well in a third world country. When built, the well will provide a whole community with a lifetime of safe clean drinking water. We have already started raising funds for the well at the Riverview Markets and have raised $166. End of Term 1 & Start of Term 2 Dates There will be a change to our school calendar this year affecting all families. We will be having a Staff Development Day on Friday 8th April – the last day of Term 1. This will mean that students will not attend school on Friday 8th April 2016. We will not be having a Staff Development Day in Term 2 on Tuesday 26th April – so the students will return to school on this date.
